Lauren and Jon’s rustic chic wedding day at Peter Allen Inn & Event Center in rural Kinsman, Ohio, moved seamlessly from beginning to end like a great story book. The morning began with the sun shining brightly over the rolling hills of central Ohio. Rows of white chairs were lined up on the lawn and finishing touches of fresh greenery were added to each of the tables beneath the white reception tent.

After getting-ready photos with Lauren and her ladies and Jon and his scotch, we headed to the back lawn, where guests anxiously waited for the beautiful couple to make their vows to one another. A solo acoustic guitarist created an intimate and fairytale atmosphere for the afternoon.

Following the ceremony, we captured family portraits on the steps of the Peter Allen gazebo. This is when two guests of honor arrived, Lauren and Jon’s gorgeous bulldogs. They were appropriately dressed in tux and gown, so ready for snuggles.

As guests congregated at the reception tent for drinks and snacks, we sneaked away with the bridal couple for portraits in the beautiful late afternoon sunlight. We walked along the fields and flowering landscapes and made our way back to Jon’s latest project, a beautifully restored vintage car from the roaring 1920s. It was magnificent and hadn’t been driven before that day.

The party then commenced and guests danced to the sound of the upbeat live band and cheered on Lauren and Dan as they shared their first dance and tasted their wedding cake.

We capped off the evening with a few shots with the iconic front door of the Peter Allen Inn and the quaint and detailed architecture of the building. Lauren and Jon were excited to create some of these sunset shots, and the results were better than we had envisioned.

It is always satisfying to see hard work pay off, and Lauren and Jon and their families put lots of care into the details that made their wedding day dreams come true. We hope that your life together is full of beauty, adventure, and love!
